ROXY MUSIC
This painting by Derek Boshier from his "Pop" period is Re-Think/ Re-Entry from 1962 and its name was the inspiration for the title of an early Roxy Music song called Remake Remodel. The song, dating from around 1972, became their first "video" as a result of a studio session on the BBC's Old Grey Whistle Test and features the band dressed in full Anthony Price chic and make up.
It is worth remembering that most of the band, including Bryan Ferry and Brian Eno were art students who met at Newcastle School of Art, in the north of England. They went on to become one of the most influential bands of the late 20th century.
